CM suspends Jharkhand officer

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today suspended an officer allegedly for breaking rules and rejected the appeal of another official found guilty in violating a law.

Das ordered suspension of Arun Kumar Khalkho, a Jharkhand Administrative Service officer who is deputy electoral officer of Koderma district, an official release said.

Khalkho has allegedly been absent for long without any intimation to the office and he was also charged with drinking alcohol in the office.

In the other case, the chief minister rejected the appeal of Sudhir Kumar Das, also a JAS officer, was punished for violating the Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act.
 

Following an enquiry, two increments of the former Block Development Officer of Dumka was withheld as punishment, the release said.
