In the first such exercise since he assumed office, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami will chair a three-day conference of District Collectors and police officials here on March 5.

While the Chief Minister will chair a meeting of both Collectors and police officials on March 5, a seperate conference with Collectors will be held the next day, an official release here said.

Palaniswami will meet senior police officials and district police chiefs on March 7, it added.

The three-day initiative serves as a stock taking excercise by the government regarding the implementation of its various schemes, besides discussing law and order and other issues.

Palaniswami took over as Chief Minister in February 2017 and this will be his first such excercise, though he has had regular interactions with many Collectors through video conferencing.
