CM urges cadres to strengthen Cong to regain power at Centre

: Senior Congress leader and Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today urged party cadres to strive hard to strengthen the party to ensure that it comes back to power at the Centre.

In his wmessage on the 132nd Foundation Day celebrations of the Congress Narayanasamy said he was proud to be a Congressman "in the legacy and galaxy of Congress leaders who have served the country and contributed to its progress and growth'.

Asking the cadres to take a pledge to strengthen the party under the leadership of Sonia Gandhiand AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi, he said they should all work with commitment to ensure that Congress comes back to power at the Centre under the leadership Rahul Gandhi.
 

PCC celebrated the day at the party office here under the chairmanship of PWD Minister and PCC president A Namassivayam, who recalled the progress of the party and its contributions to ameliorate the lot of the poor and have-nots.

He criticised the demonetisation scheme of the NDA government at the Centre and said that the sudden move of bringing in demonetisation had caused havoc among people.

Ministers and legislators of Congress,freedom fighters and functionaries of different wings of the party were among those who were present at the celebrations.
