Goa and Maharashtra Chief Ministers should cooperate in finding a solution for drinking water in this region of Karnataka, Kalasa Bhanduri Horata Samiti(Kalsa Bhanduri Agitation Forum) said today.
The Samithi President Vijay Kulkarni said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should take the same efforts as he did for the Cauvery issue in finding a solution.
"We believe in amicable settlement and good relations with neighbouring states," he told reporters here. Kulkarni said "if Goa and Maharashtra do not co-operate for drinking water requirement of this part of the state then we will have intensify our agitation."

Karnataka has locked horns with the neighboring Goa on the larger issue of sharing Mahadayi River water between both the states.
The Kalasa-Banduri project is being undertaken by Karnataka to improve drinking water supply to the twin cities of Hubballi-Dharwad and the districts of Belagavi and Gadag.
