CMs of UP, MP, Chhattisgarh to attend Punjab agriculture meet

The Punjab government today said the Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will attend the first Progressive Punjab Agriculture Summit in Mohali tomorrow.

Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav will attend the summit to be inaugurated by Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal.

Former Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, two MPs of his Telugu Desam Party and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Abhey Chautala will also participate in the meet to be held from February 16 to 19, a government spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said the summit would offer a healthy platform to transform the destiny of millions of farmers by evolving a consensus to chalk out a pro-farmer action plan for overall agriculture development in the country.
 

Experts and other stake holders will discuss on various aspect of the sector during the summit.
