Co-production agreements enrich bilateral ties: I&B Sec

Information & Broadcasting Secretary Bimal Julka has said that co-production agreements not only enrich bilateral exchanges but also bring in foreign exchange to the country's exchequer.

Julka, who is participating at the Cannes Film Market 2014 in Cannes, delivered a keynote address on the occasion of an interactive session on 'Co-Production: Merging Resources to Create Magic', a press release here said.

The second day of activities at the India Pavilion - organised by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in association with FICCI - at the Cannes Film Market 2014 began with meetings between Indian and international delegates, the release issued today said.
 

An exclusive networking evening was also co-hosted by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and the New Zealand Film Commission. The event was aimed at promoting and forging ties for co-production and other partnerships between the two countries.

Prominent film personalities were present at the event.
