Union Minister for Coal Piyush Goyal today inaugurated 'Premashraya', a CSR initiative of Coal India Ltd, at New Town here which would provide accommodation to outstation patients belonging to economically weaker sections who come for treatment at Tata Medical Centre.
Coal India Ltd, which tied up with Tata Medical Centre (TMC), has sanctioned Rs 41.11 crore out of its corporate social responsibility fund to TMC trust for the facility.
The 10-storied building has enough space to accommodate 525 people including the patients and their relatives.
The building also has palliative care cubicles, child care centres, counselling rooms and an auditorium besides physiotherapy facility.
