Amid demand by a section of Congressmen to make Siddaramaiah Chief Minister again, Karnataka Deputy Chief minister G Parameshwara today said the JDS-Congress coalition government headed by chief minister H D Kumaraswamy would complete its full term of five years.

During an interaction with reporters on the eve of thegovernment completing 100 days, Parameshwara ridiculed the opposition BJP, which predicted the fall of the government.

"Our government is stable and has completed 100 days inoffice. It has implemented various welfare oriented projects in three months including continuation of schemes taken up byformer chief minister Siddaramaiah," Parameshwara said.

Siddaramaiah's reported statement a few days ago that he wanted to become CM again had triggered a storm following which he clarified that he did not wish to assume charge now, but only after five years.

Following the statement, clamour grew within the Congress to make Siddaramaiah the chief minister.

The deputy chief minister said the government implemented farm loan waiver to the tune of Rs 31,000 crore and lauded the measures initiated to free farmers from clutches of private money lenders.

Flaying the centre for "ignoring" rain-ravaged Kodagu by not providing any financial aid, Parameshwara said it was thestate government which rushed to help Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru and Dakshina Kannada districts.

Besides this, the government has initiated measures to protect 13districts reeling under severe drought.

He said it was unfortunate that the centre ignored Kodagu and had not provided any financial assistance, while the Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an aerial survey of flood affected parts of Kerala and announced relief.

Chief Minister Kumaraswamy and Parameshwara will go to Delhi tomorrow and seek financial assistance of Rs 2,000 crore from the Centre.
