Coca-Cola ties up with TERI University for water mgmt studies

Beverages giant Coca-Cola India has tied up with TERI University to establish an academic department for studies in water management.

Under the partnership, TERI University will establish Coca-Cola Department of Regional Water Studies, which will offer post-graduate courses on water management. The courses will start this year.

"There will be a batch of 30 students to start with. Over the next 10 years, we expect to have at least 1,000 water professionals to pass out from the department," Coca-Cola India Vice-president, Technical, Asim Parekh told PTI.

The professionals, who pass out of the University, will have the choice of working with NGOs, government and semi-government organisations, he added.
 

Parekh said: "We believe that through this partnership with TERI University, we can contribute to the creation of human resource capital in the area of water management as well as help in research and development on water management.
