The Coimbatore Diabetes Foundation has been invited to present its 'unique' Diabetes Care Model at a five-day conference of American Diabetes Association (ADA) to be held in Boston from June 5.
Highlights of the model, to be presented at the ADA's 75th Annual Diabetes Scientific Conference, include ensuring quality of life for the people with diabetes, with lesser medicine and more focus on diet, CDF Chairman, Dr V Sekhar, said.
Natural diet, exercise, yoga and meditation all were integrated into the treatment system, under one roof, which made it unique, he told reporters here last night.
About 20,000 doctors were expected to participate from across the world at the conference, where research papers and new treatment methods will be discussed and presented, he added.
