Four students of a local school have been selected to participate in the National Level Wrestling Championship in the sub-junior category, to be held at Jharkhand later this month.
Surya Prabhu, Sherdin Elias, Jowin Andrew and Sachin K G of the Lisieux Matriculation Higher Secondary school had won gold metals in the Southern zone sub-junior level competitions held at Bhavani in Erode, conducted by Wrestling Federation of India, a school release said today.
They have been selected for the national championship to be held from April 22 to 28, it said.
Deepak Kumar won the silver medal, while Gracian Deepak and Krishnadev Ashok also won Bronze medals at the sub-junior level, the release said.
