The local Meteorological (MeT) office has forecast rains or snow at isolated places in the lower, mid and higher hills from February 23 to 25, and dry weather in the state in the remaining days as a fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the western Himalayan region and the adjoining plains from February 23 onwards.

Another western disturbance is likely to affect the western Himalayan region from February 26, the MeT office said.

The minimum temperatures also rose across the state and Keylong was coldest with a low of minus 4.7 degrees Celsius, while Manali and Kalpa registered minimum temperatures at minus 0.4 degrees Celsius and 0.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Solan 6.6 degrees Celsius, Dharamsala 8.4 degrees Celsius, Nahan 9.8 degrees Celsius and Shimla 19.3 degree, Kalpa 15.2 degree, Manali 14.0 degree and Keylong 4.1 degree Celsius.
