Cold conditions abated in Rajasthan as mercury rose by a few notches thus giving respite to people from icy winds, a MeT official said today.
Mercury has risen by one to three degrees Celsius specially during night at most places in the desert state, though Mount Abu, sole hill station, experienced the lowest temperature of 2.4 degrees Celsius last night.
On plains, Ganganganagar recorded a minimum of 4.7 deg C followed by Churu 4.8 deg C, and Pilani 5.5 degrees C.
Elsewhere the minimum temperature varied between 9 and 11 degrees C, including Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Bikaner.
