Cold conditions continued in Kashmir Valley and Ladakh division with Kargil town recording a low of minus 16.4 degrees Celsius.
Kargil was the coldest place in the state followed by Leh town where the mercury settled at a low of minus 12.4 degrees Celsius, a MeT Department official said.
Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of 0.6 degree Celsius, a slight drop from the previous night's 1 degrees Celsius.
