Cold conditions prevail in Pb, Har; Narnaul shivers at 4 deg C

Cold conditions today prevailed in Punjab and Haryana even as minimum temperatures hovered several notches above normal level in most parts of both the states.

Narnaul in Haryana was the coldest place in both states as it braved cold weather at 4 deg C, MeT department report said today.

Union Territory Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded its minimum at 9.8 deg C, four notches above normal.

In Punjab, Amritsar had its low at 8.6, six degrees above normal while minimum in Ludhiana and Patiala settled at 11.3 deg C and 10.6 deg C, respectively, up to five degrees above normal.
 

In Haryana, Ambala and Hisar experienced cold conditions at 10.4 deg C and 9 deg C respectively, four degrees above normal while Karnal recorded its minimum at 8 deg C.

MeT department in its forecast said weather is likely to remain dry and moderate to dense fog is likely to occur at some places in Punjab and Haryana in next 24 hours.
