Cold day in Delhi, dense fog likely on R-Day

Cold conditions today prevailed in the national capital, as the minimum temperature settled at 8.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 18.4 degrees Celsius, four notches below the normal, said a Met department official.

The weather department has forecast clear skies for tomorrow in Delhi, which is all decked up to celebrate the Republic Day. Dense fog has also been predicted during the morning hours.

The humidity oscillated between 100 and 69 per cent.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 20 and 6 degrees respectively," the weatherman said.
 

Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 18.9 degrees and 7.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
