Cold, dry weather persisted in Uttar Pradesh with Muzaffarnagar recording the lowest at 6.2 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
Lucknow, the state capital, registered a minimum temperature of 12.1 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
According to the meteorological department, minimum temperature below 10 degrees Celsius was recorded at the following places -- Bahraich and Banda (10 degrees Celsius each), Aligarh (9.8 degrees Celsius), Shahjahanpur (9.6 degrees Celsius), Meerut (9.0 degrees Celsius), Bareilly (8.3 degrees Celsius) and Basti (8.0 degrees Celsius).
Weather is most likely to remain dry while shallow to moderate fog is very likely at isolated places over the state, the meteorological department said in a statement issued here.
