Cold morning in national capital

The residents of the national capital woke up to clear skies with a marked chill in the air this morning.

The minimum temperature was 10.5 degrees Celsius, five degrees below the season's average.

Weather office has forecast a clear day ahead. The maximum temperature is likely to climb to 28 degrees Celsius.

Humidity was 78 per cent at 8.30 AM while visibility was recorded at 1,300 metres.

Private agency Skymet has forecast that chilly mornings and evenings will continue for another few days in the city.

Yesterday, the minimum had plunged to 9.1 degrees Celsius while the maximum was at 26.6 degrees Celsius.
