Cold wave conditions persisted in several parts of Odisha today despite marginal fall in temperature in some areas, while Phulbani in Kandhamal district remained the coldest place in the state with 5.4 degrees Celsius.
Kandhamal remained the coldest zone in the state, as the district headquarter town of Phulbani recorded a minimum of 5.4 degrees Celsius.
The mercury stood at 7.5 degrees Celsius at the picturesque Daringibadi in the mountainous district, the MeT department here said.

The minimum temperature at both Sundargarh and Bhawanipatna stood at 7 degrees Celsius, while it was 8.5 degrees Celsius in Talcher, 9/6 degrees Celsius at Angul and 10 degrees Celsius in Sambalpur.
Bhubaneswar recorded minimum temperature of 15.7 degrees Celsius, marginally higher than 15.1 degrees Celsius recorded yesterday, it said.
