Kashmir Valley and Ladakh region continued to reel under cold wave conditions as the minimum temperature stayed several degrees below freezing point.
Srinagar recorded a minimum of -2.7 degrees Celsius compared to the previous night's low of -2.4 degree Celsius, an official of the MeT department said.
The night temperature in Pahalgam, a tourist resort which serves as a base camp during annual Amarnath yatra in south Kashmir, also witnessed decline from the previous night's low of -4.5 degrees Celsius to settle at a -5.2 degrees Celsius, the official said.

The night temperature in Kupwara, in north Kashmir, settled at a low of -3.2 degrees Celsius against last night's -2.8 degrees Celsius, while Qazigund, the gateway town to Kashmir, recorded a low of -3.2 degree Celsius, he said.
The south Kashmir town of Kokernag registered a minimum of -0.1 degree Celsius.
Leh, in Ladakh region, recorded the coldest night of the season at -12.8 degrees Celsius, a drop of two degrees compared to last night, the official said.
The minimum temperatures in nearby Kargil town dropped nearly four notches to -9.7 degrees Celsius compared to yesterday's -6.0 degrees Celsius.
There would not be any major change in the weather which is expected to remain dry for the next 24 hours, the MeT office said.
