The intense cold wave conditions, revived by snowfall and rains last week, persisted in higher hills and tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh as mercury stayed below normal at most places.
Keylong and Kalpa in tribal Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts recorded minimum temperatures at minus 4.6 degrees Celsius and minus 1.2 degrees C while the key tourist resort of Manali recorded a low of 1.6 deg C, followed by Saluni 4.4 deg C and Solan 5.5 deg C.
Nahan and Dharamsala were warmer during the night with minimum temperatures at 11.8 deg and 11.4 deg while Bhuntar and Shimla recorded a low of 6.4 deg and 6.7 deg,followed by Sundernagar 7.6 deg and Una 9.8 deg.

The local MeT office has predicted dry weather in mid and lower hills during next four days and rains or snow at isolated places at higher hills and tribal areas.
