The intense cold wave conditions continued in Himachal Pradesh as there was no appreciable change in minimum temperatures and icy cold winds swept the region.
Tribal areas had another spell of moderate snow and Keylong and Kalpa in tribal Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur recorded 15 cm of snow each.
Widespread rains lashed the region during past 24 hours and the key tourist resort of Manali recorded 37 mm of rains followed by Khere 27 mm, Tissa 23 mm, Saluni 16 mm, Jubbal, Seobagh and Jogindernagar 15 mm each, Sundernagar and Baijnath 14 mm each, Janduta 13 mm, Mandi 12 mm, Bhoranj and Berthin 11 mm and Kahu and Palampur 10 mm.
However, the day temperatures which registered sharp fall yesterday, rose by three to five degrees to touch 25.4 degree Celsius in Una, which was hottest in the region, while Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded maximum temperatures at 22 degrees and 21.5 degrees.
Nahan recorded maximum temperature at 20.8 degrees, followed by Solan 20 degrees, Dharamsala 19.6 degrees, Shimla 14.5 degrees and Kalpa 9.6 degrees.
The minimum temperatures remained marginally below normal with Keylong and Kalpa recording a low of -5 degrees and -4 degrees, followed by Manali 1 degree Celsius, Saluni 1.5 degrees, Shimla 4.3 degrees, Bhuntar 5.4 degrees, Solan 6 degrees, Palampur 6.4 degrees, Nahan and Sundernagar 8.4 degrees and Dharamsala and Una 9.4 degree Celsius.
The local MeT office has predicted dry weather with marginal increase in temperature during next 48 hours.
