Cold wave conditions returns to HP

Cold wave conditions today returned to Himachal Pradesh with the entire tribal belt and other higher reaches receiving snowfall and widespread rains accompanied by thunderstorm in mid and lower hills.
The state capital Shimla was lashed by thunderstorm coupled with 30 mm rain.
Tourist resorts of Kufri, Fagu and Narkanda received 15 to 20 cm snow.
Manali, which received 5 cm fresh snow accompanied by incessant rains, shivered at -1.0 deg C.
Rohtang and Kunzam passes recorded over 100 cm fresh snow, while Keylong and Kalpa in tribal Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts had 25 cm and 45 cm snow.
 
The minimum temperature dipped to 2.1 deg C in Shimla, while Bhuntar recorded a low of 6.8 deg C.
