Cold wave continues in Delhi

Cold wave conditions prevailed in the national capital Friday with the minimum temperature recorded at five degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.

The day temperature plunged to 18.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below the normal, the lowest maximum temperature recorded so far this season, the MeT office said.

The humidity oscillated between 100 and 55 per cent.

The weatherman has forecast clear skies for Saturday along with moderate to dense fog in the morning and haze or smoke thereafter.

"Cold wave will continue at isolated places. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at around 20 and 3 degrees respectively," the weatherman.

 

On Thursday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 3.6 degrees Celsius, making it the coldest December day in the national capital since 2014. The maximum temperature was recorded at 21.3 degrees Celsius.
