Cold wave grips desert state

Cold conditions have started gripping parts of Rajasthan where mercury dipped to 4.5 degree Celsius in Sikar and Churu districts.

Bhilwara, Alwar, Sriganganagar and Vanasthali recorded a minimum of 6.8, 7, 7.4 and 7.9 degrees Celsius respectively while the night temperature in Chittorgarh, Dabok, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Jaipur was 8.7, 10, 10.3, 10.6 and 11.2 degrees respectively.

Foggy weather was reported in several districts of the state, according to the Met department here.
