Cold wave intensifies in parts of Raj; Mt Abu shivers at 2 deg

Cold wave conditions revived in parts of Rajasthan with Mount Abu recording the lowest temperature at 2 degrees Celsius.

While Jaipur, Ajmer and Kota saw a dip in temperature ranging from 1 to 3 degrees Celsius, a slight increase in temperature between 1 to 2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Udaipur, Bikaner and Jodhpur, a Met department spokesperson said.

Phalodi recorded a temperature of 5.5 degrees Celsius followed by 5.8 in Sriganganagar, 6.2 in Eranpura road, 6.4 in Bhilwara, 6.5 in Chhittorgarh and Dabok and 6.8 in Churu.

Sikar registered a temperature of 7.0 degrees Celsius followed by 7.2 in Banasthali, 7.3 in Pilani, 8.0 in Jaipur, 8.2 in Bikaner, 9.4 in Alwar, 9.5 in Bundi and 9.8 degree Celsius in Swai Madhopur and Jaisalmer respectively.
 

The weather will remain constant for the next 24 hours, the official said.
