While Manali recorded minimum temperature at 3 degree Celsius, a rise of seven degree since yesterday, Solan was coldest in the non-tribal areas with a low of 0.8 deg C.
Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded a low of 4.6 deg and 4.9 deg Celsius respectively, while Una and Nahan registered minimum temperature at 5.7 deg Celsius.
Shimla, Palampur and Dharamsala recorded night temperature at 5.3 deg, 6.2 deg and 6.4 deg respectively, two to five deg above normal.
The minimum temperature improved marginally in tribal areas with Keylong and Kalpa in tribal Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts recording a low of minus 9.4 deg and minus 7.5 deg, three degree more than yesterday.
Udaipur and some other places in tribal Lahaul valley had another spell of mild snowfall and rise in temperature was due to cloudy sky at night.
Una was hottest in the region wtih maximum temperature at 23.6 deg and 20.5 deg Celsius, folowed by Solan 19.3 deg, Dharamsala 18.6 deg, Nahan 16.4 deg and Shimla 15.1 deg C.
The local MeT office has predicted dry weather in general in the state during next 72 hours and snow and rains at isolated places in higher hills and tribal belt.
