Cold waves continue in Rajasthan, Churu shivers at 2.5 deg C

Cold wave conditions prevailed in Rajasthan today with Churu being recorded as the coldest region in the state having a minimum temperature of 2.5 degree Celsius.

Sikar and Pilani shivered at 4.5 degree Celsius while Sriganganagar recorded a minimum of 5.1 degree Celsius.

The night temperatures at Tonk, Jaipur, Ajmer and Jaisalmer were recorded at 5.4, 7.3, 7.5 and 10 degree Celsius respectively, according to Met department here.

Meanwhile, 12 trains under north western railway were running late, an NWR spokesperson informed.

The timing of one train - Jaipur to Allahabad was changed due to fog in northern parts of the country, he added.
