Several parts of north India continued to experience cold weather conditions with mercury going below the freezing point at many places in Jammu and Kashmir.
People in Delhi today woke up to a cool breezy morning as the weather turned warm through the day.
The maximum temperature dropped three notches below the season's average at 28 degrees Celsius while the minimum soared five notches above the normal to 13.8 degrees Celsius, the Met department said.

The night temperatures across Kashmir division including Srinagar slipped below freezing point, ending nearly week-long respite from bone chilling cold.
Srinagar recorded a low of minus 0.8 degrees Celsius, a spokesman of the MeT office said here.
The minimum temperatures also recorded a dip in other parts of the division with Leh in frontier region of Ladakh emerging as the coldest recorded place with a low of minus 11.4 degrees Celsius.
The spokesman said Kargil town, also in Ladakh, was the second coldest recorded place with a minimum of minus 10 degrees Celsius.
In Kashmir Valley, Pahalgam hill resort was the coldest place with a low of minus 4.4 degrees Celsius while the famous ski resort of Gulmarg recorded a minimum of minus 2.5 degrees Celsius, the spokesman said.
