Winter is all set in Rajasthan with cold winds sweeping across the state even as mercury plummeted by one to three notches.
According to MeT office, Churu was the coldest place with a minimum temperature of 6.0 degrees Celsius last night, about five degrees below normal.
Mercury was on downward trend at all places in the state as it plummeted by one to three degrees C, it said.

While on plains, Alwar recorded a minimum of 7.0 degrees C followed by Jhalawar 8.2, Jalore 8.7, Nagaur 9.0, Sriganganagar 9.2, and Jaipur 9.8, Pilani 10.1, Bharatpur 10.2, and Ajmer 11.8 degrees C.
Mercury also dipped during day at most places in last 24 hours and maximum temperature was not above 30 degrees C anywhere.
MeT office in a forecast said that cold wave conditions may be generated in next 48 hours in northwest of the state.
