Frontman Chris Martin told the crowd at this week's Brisbane concert on the band's 'Mylo Xyloto' tour that they plan to take a break, reported Digital Spy online.

"This is the last big show for three years or so. I don't want to stop," Martin said.

The tour, which kicked off in April and has taken the band across Europe, North America and Australia, will finish with a series of shows in Latin America in February.

The 'Paradise' band also comprised of Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, recently announced a special New Year's Eve concert with Jay-Z at the Barclays Brooklyn Centre.

Coldplay also teased fans that they have already decided on a name for their sixth studio album earlier this week.
