The two days leading up to the concert will be busy for the group. On December 29 they will have a headline show at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville. Both of these concerts will feature Naturally 7 as the supporting act, reported Examiner online.
This will be the second time that Coldplay has celebrated the new year with long-time friend and collaborator Jay Z, having shared the bill with him at a Las Vegas concert in 2010.
Recently, Jay Z and Rihanna performed onstage with Coldplay at the London 2012 Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony.
The two Brooklyn dates mark the first shows that Coldplay has put on sale in New York City since September 2005.
