The armed youths, who were said to be student leaders of Saket college here, barged into residence of V N Arora, principal of the college, last night and threatened him with dire consequences if he did not give their candidates admissions, SP (Faizabad) Ram Ji Ram Yadav said.
Arora had been receiving such demands to accommodate student leaders' candidates in different courses out-of-turn, which he denied as admission process was over and all admission were closed, the SP said.
The principal submitted his resignation following the incident, college sources said, adding, college committee members have not accepted it.
Yadav said investigation in the matter has been started.
