Collins, Nehru Planetarium join hands for innovation in astronomy

Collins Learning today announced its collaboration with Nehru Planetarium for exposing the youth to meaningful experiences in the field of astronomy.

Together, they will organise workshops, events and observing activities throughout the year to generate curiosity and appreciation of science among learners.

Collaborative activities of mutual interest are planned, and Collins aims to infuse the content and expertise from the planetarium through these collaborations into their resources and activities, a statement said.

Collins Learning is a publishing house in the K12 education segment in India and the Nehru Planetarium is a treasure trove of innovation, science, and astronomy education.

Chaitali Moitra, Managing Director of Collins Learning, India, said about the joint venture, "Through this association, we want the learners to benefit from the huge repository of educational content and expertise that the planetarium offers."

Speaking about the alliance, Shakti Sinha, director of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, said, "We look forward to a confluence of energies from the two organisations towards taking locally generated educational resources to a wider reach.
