The proposal to start the train "has been acceded to" and the train will devote three days in the state out of the seven-day circuit, said a release issued by Odisha government following a review meeting by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
During the meeting, Patnaik noted that the Centre has agreed to the Odisha government's proposal for upgrading Guru Kelucharan Odissi Research Centre in the state to a state- level museum.
According to the release, Patnaik observed that the persistent efforts of the state have led to reconstitution of the Odisha Coastal Zone Management Authority and release of central share to the Odisha State Treatment Fund Society.
The state government's efforts also led to the announcement of the time-line for upgradation of Biju Patnaik Domestic Airport to an international airport by April next year, he said.
The contribution of Odisha in providing 10 acres of land adjacent to AIIMS Bhubaneswar last month enabled the Health Ministry to initiate the process for establishment of Regional Institute of Para Medical Sciences at Bhubaneswar, he said.
