The cast of "Comedy Nights With Kapil" are teaming up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India for a brand-new campaign, calling for animal adoption.

The new campaign, shot by photographer Gaurav Sawn, features funnyman Kapil Sharma's rescued dog Zanjeer along with the rest of the cast including Sumona Chakravarti, Ali Asgar, Sunil Grover and Kiku Sharda.

"People throw stones (at) them, torture them and they get injured. They suffer from diseases, and there is no one to take care of them, so this is our responsibility," Asgar, who plays the character of Daadi on the show, said in statement.

Kapil also shared a moment in which Zanjeer attempted to protect his beloved actors by breaking up a staged "fight" between two cast members.

"Now, he is a part of our family," he said.
