Commanders conference of Maintenance Command in Nagpur

Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha will inaugurate the Maintenance Command Commanders' Conference that will be held at the Maintenance Command Headquarters of the Indian Air Force here from December 5 to 7.

Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, Chief of the Air Staff has accepted the invitation by Air Marshal Pankaj Aneja , Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command to inaugurate the Conference, a release by Defence PRO said today.

During the Conference, the Chief of the Air Staff will review the progress of various projects and address the Station / Unit Commanders, the statement said.

Outstanding performance of the units shall also be acknowledge by the award of trophies, it added.
 

Maintenance Command has a geographical spread across the country with its units engaged in undertaking repair, overhaul of Air Force assets and providing effective product support to all the field formations.

The Air Force today holds a plethora of weapon platforms and delivery systems.

The techno-logistic challenge of keeping the IAF's flying machines and systems battle worthy is indeed a challenging task.

Maintenance Command plays an important role by providing the requisite Engineering and Logistics support to the Operational and Training units.

The Command has acquainted itself well in indignation of spares, modernisation of production facilities, warehousing and the supply chain management, said the release.
