Commercial complex named after H N Bahuguna

A commercial complex in the heart of the city was named today after late Congress leader and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna. Uttarakhand Governor Aziz Qureshi, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said Bahuguna was like an elder brother to him from whom he had learnt a lot. Describing him as a true sympathiser of SCs, STs and minorities, Qureshi suggested a culture centre named after H N Bahuguna should also be set up in the city. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna, who is the son of the late Congress leader, said he did a lot for development of hill areas in undivided Uttar Pradesh and earned respect of the people from across the political spectrum.
