The commission has asked the authorities to submit their status report on the issue within three weeks, an official spokesperson said.
US resident Hardial Singh Hundal had alleged that Maninder Pal Singh Johar, in connivance with police and municipal officials, had grabbed his property and had developed a bar-cum-restaurant on it, the spokesperson said.
In his complaint, he had claimed that an initial inquiry had found involvement of 11 persons into the case, but no action was taken by the authorities.
