Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today constituted an eight-member committee to ensure and regulate supply of fertilisers, agro-chemicals and pesticides to farmers through village cooperative societies.
The Financial Commissioner Development will chair the committee, an official spokesman said.
The committee after assessing the demand for fertilisers and agro-chemicals, will give its recommendations to the chief minister for approval relating to supply of agro-chemicals and pesticides to the farmers through cooperative societies, he said.
