Committee formed to probe charges against CSA Agriculture

The Uttar Pradesh Governor today constituted a three-member committee to probe charges against Vice-Chancellor of Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (Kanpur), Munna Singh, who is already facing suspension.

Ram Naik, also the Chancellor of Universities, has constituted the committee headed by retired judge of Lucknow High Court, V D Chaturvedi, with Vice-Chancellor of Chattrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, J V Vaishampayan and ex-IAS officer, Manoj Kumar as its members, an official spokesman said here.

The committee has been directed to complete the probe and submit its report to the Chancellor within two months, he said.

The spokesman said there were complaints of alleged irregularities in recruitment of teachers against Singh and he was prima facie found guilty in initial probe, on the basis of which he was suspended on May 1.
