The decision was taken after Jakhar managed to escape from a Jodhpur court premises with the help of some accomplices yesterday.
In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot last night it was decided that the four-member committee will look into various aspects of security in and around the courts premises and submit its suggestions about ways to strengthen the security system within 30 days.
The committee will also explore the possibility of setting up courts inside the jail premises, alternate arrangements for trial through video-conferencing and other equipments inside the jail from security point of view.
Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Ashok Sampatram will head the committee and DGP Harish Meena, DG Jail Omendra Bharadwaj, Additional DG (Crime) Kapil Garg will be its members.
The Chief Minister has also sent DG Jail and ADG (Crime) to Jodhpur to carry out a detailed investigation in Jakhar fleeing from the court premises, according to an official.
