Commodities price rise in wholesale foodgrains market

Prices of tur dal, moong dal, sugar and wheat increase while those of maida and sooji fell in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Moong dal rose sharply by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 9,800 from its yesterday's rate of Rs 9,500.

Tur dal and wheat prices increased by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,100 and Rs 2,500 from its yesterday's rates of Rs 7,000 and Rs 2,400, respectively.

Price of sugar rose marginally by Rs 50 to Rs 3,000 from its closing rate of Rs 2,950.

Maida (90 kg) decreased by Rs 100 to Rs 2,400 from its rate of Rs 2,500.
 

Sooji (90 kg) fell by Rs 50 to Rs 2,550 from its closing rates of Rs 2,600.

Price of Urad dal and gram dal ruled steady.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities today (in rupees per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 7,100 Urad Dal Rs 7,400 Moong Dal Rs 9,800 Gram Dal Rs 3,900 Sugar Rs 3,000 Wheat Rs 2,500 Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,550.
