Common Service Centres to be set up in Gurgaon

With a view to provide services to people at their doorsteps in electronic mode, 'Common Service Centres' (CSC) will be set up in Gurgaon district of Haryana.

The CSCs would serve as key public interface points for delivery of electronic services to the people from government departments and agencies (G2C), private sector services (B2C) and a variety of other related services, an official spokesman said here.

As many as 37 locations have been identified in the rural areas for setting up CSCs which are mostly in school buildings in villages.

The CSCs will be operated by Village Level Entrepreneurs.

Vivek Atray, Additional Secretary, IT Department, Haryana, today discussed the scheme with Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner Shekhar Vidyarthi, the spokesman said.
 

The sheme is known as Haryana e-Seva Scheme for Common Services Centres, 2014. The government has notified the scheme for establishing and rolling out CSCs under the "Haryana e-Seva" throughout the state.
