Clashes and arson today broke out between members of two communities following an altercation between two persons over money matters in a locality here.
The incident occurred after a heated argument between a barber's helper and a customer when the former asked for Rs 100 borrowed from him, District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh said.
Members of both the communities pelted stones on each other from roof tops and also set five motorcycles on fire after they were called following the argument.

The warring groups agreed to submit their versions in writing following intervention of the DM.
While one side alleged in the report that people from one community barged into the house of the other and misbehaved with the members, the other side alleged that their household articles were set ablaze.
Police have taken possession of the bikes which were damaged by rioters.
The DM claimed that the situation is under control but tense and police force has been deployed in Ganj area and other sensitive parts of the city.
"We would not allow the situation to further deteriorate," he said.
Meanwhile, RSS organiser of the city, Sundar Lal Singhania, was detained by the police.
