Members of two communities today entered into a scuffle here over the construction of a building which one of the group claimed was for religious purposes, police said.
The incident took place at an area under the Fatehpur Police Station. The matter was resolved through a meeting, the station's in-charge Bhanu Pratap Yadav said.
A rumour had spread that a building was being constructed on a plot here for religious purposes, the officer said.
However, later, the owner clarified that he was using the land to built his house, he said.
