Companies asked to complete Suratgarh Super critical Project

Expressing concern over delay of some units of Super critical Power Project at Suratgarh, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has asked the BHEL and private companies to complete the task within a stipulated time frame.

The Chief Minister, who was holding a high level meeting with officials of BHEl and Suratgarh Super Thermal Power Station on the progress of the latter's 7 and 8 units yesterday, said the delay was cause of "great concern and worry".

Power supply in domestic sector for 24x7 and 6 to 8 hours to agricultural connections was the top priority of the state government, she said, adding a stipulated time frame was needed for implementation of the same.
 

BHEL's CMD B Prasad Rao, Additional Chief Secretary C S Rajan and Jaipur Vidhyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd Chairman N L Mathur were present along with their subordinate staff at the meeting at Suratgarh Camp, according to an official release issued last night.
