Andhra Pradesh State Finance Minister Y Ramakrishnudu said here today that the state government will pay a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to deceased family members of ten fishermen who died at sea.
According to an official release, the AP government will pay a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to ten deceased fishermen, he said.
Distress Alert Transmitter (DAT) will be installed in every fishing boat to prevent such accidents, he said.
He said that the amount paid to fishermen during the ban on fishing, has been increased to Rs 4,000 from Rs 2,000.
