A local court today reserved its orders on a complaint of Congress leaders against senior journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik for his meeting with terror head Hafiz Sayeed and his controversial statement on Kashmir's independence.

The complaint was filed by Congress city unit's secretary Vivek Khandelwal and Mohan Kasera in the court of judicial magistrate Vaibhav Sharma.

The court after hearing the argument of the complainants reserved its orders on the matter till September 22, complainants' advocate Ashish Shrivastava said.

The duo in their complaint said that Vaidik had met Mumbai terror attack mastermind Sayeed in Pakistan without informing the government. Besides in an interview to a TV channel he had also given a highly condemnable statement on the issue of Kashmir.

Khandelwal and Kasera urged the court to file case against Vaidik under IPC's section 124 (A) (Treason) and section 132 (inciting armed forces for rebellion) on the issue.
