Special Judge N K Sudhindra posted the complaint to January 23 for further hearing.

In his complaint, Harish, a resident of Bangalore, alleged that they had committed irregularities in awarding the contract to some firms and individuals for pecuniary gain.

In a novel initiative last year, Karnataka government had opened generic drug stores to sell drugs at subsidised rates 50 per cent less than the MRP to benefit the poor and the middle class.

The government issued an order for setting up the generic drug outlets in 20 districts, with Ramdas announcing that the outlets would be named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
